What's Inside the Book?
“Your child has cancer,” The doctor’s words are deafening. Elisa Marchetti (Lisa) shares the intimate, unimaginable, and transformational journey of childhood cancer from a mom’s perspective.
You will be brought into the inspiring story starting with Sal, an energetic and bold six-year-old little boy who was diagnosed with Childhood Leukemia in 2018. As his life hangs in the balance, Sal perseveres through chemotherapy and undergoes multiple hospital stays and procedures for over three years.
But that’s not all; Sal’s Dad is also diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer within the same time period. The author writes, “How can this be? Both my son and husband are facing the same enemy.”
You will see firsthand the trauma and hardship that one family endured, and you will experience the inspirational flicker of hope that stubbornly never gives up. There are moments of surprising joy and unexpected laughter.
Victory is Ahead shares the rawness of both desperate grief and unfailing faith. Lisa reminds her readers, “You are not alone in your trials. God will never let go of you, your child, or your family even through…Cancer.” This is a story of hope in the darkness.
